• organisations and institutions (e.g. NGOs, community centres, local authorities) interested in engaging older adults in civic and social activities,
• local communities, which benefit from the active involvement and experience of older generations.

How we contribute:
The SocialShift project:
• offers a transnational, culturally adaptable approach to active ageing and civic participation,
• enables exchange of experiences and good practices between partner countries,
• promotes shared European values such as solidarity, inclusion, and active citizenship,
• demonstrates that older people across Europe face similar challenges but also share similar potential and opportunities,
• supports the development of scalable solutions that can be implemented in different national and local contexts.
Social Shift generates strong European added value by addressing a common challenge across all EU countries – the ageing population and the need for meaningful post-retirement engagement.
By combining diverse perspectives and experiences, the project creates a stronger, more universal methodology than would be possible within a single country. It also encourages mobility, intercultural understanding, and cross-border cooperation among older adults and organisations.
Ultimately, Social Shift contributes to strengthening civil society in Europe by unlocking the untapped potential of older generations and transforming it into a valuable resource for communities.
